I am so excited to share this recipe because it is one of my favourite holiday cookie staples. These shortbread cookies literally melt in your mouth thanks to the use of powdered sugar and whipping the batter until light and airy. They are delicate and light, so please be mindful when transporting them because they can crumble easily.
You will need:
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
Add sugar and whip for an additional 5 minutes.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cookies turn a light brown around the edges.
