Après Dinner Heated Towlettes

You’ve just had a delicious dinner, fantastic wine, incredible dessert, and even better conversation. Everyone is sated and basking in the warm glow of satisfaction. What a better way to end a meal than with an aromatic heated towlette to wash off the remnants of a great meal.Simple, easy, but oh so luxurious. The addition of essential oils will awaken the senses and the selection is endless. Lavendar creates a calming effect, mint is rejuvinating, sandalwood is deliciously heady, or simply use slices of fresh lemon in place of essential oils.

These towels are heated in the crock pot so that it is ready and waiting for you by the end of dinner. If you wish not to use a crock pot, you may soak the towels in a bowl of water with the essential oils, wring until damp, roll, and microwave on high for 2 minutes prior to use.

You will need:

A crock pot
Steamer rack
Face towels
1 cup water
1 bowl that fits inside the crock pot
Essential oil of your choice
Ribbons or ties (I found these jewelled hair ties at the dollar store)

Prepare before dinner begins:
1. Place the steamer rack in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour in the water and put 2-3 drops of essential oils.

2. Place the bowl into the crock pot and turn on high.

3. Wet the face clothes until slightly damp. Fold in half lengthwise and roll.

4. Secure the towel with ties or ribbons.

5. Place towels in the bowl and cover.
