I cannot rave about this simple facial mask enough. I have sensitive skin and this is one of the few facial treatments that I can tolerate. It leaves my skin soft and brighter and many claim that it helps with acne.
How is it that Aspirin makes such a great treatment? Aspirin is a acetyl salicylic acid. Why does that sound familiar? Because salicylic acid is a type of beta hydroxy acid or BHA. The same BHA that is commonly found in skincare products known as one f the best exfoliating agents and an acne treatment. Essentially Aspirin is an economical way of having a BHA based facial mask.
You will need:
1 tbsp warm water or aloe vera gel
Mortar and pestle or some way to crush the aspirin
Crush the aspirin into as fine a powder as you can. In the palm of your hand or a small bowl mix the aspirin with water or aloe gel. Spread evenly over face and leave on for 20 minutes. You can gently scrub your face with the aspirin granules as you are rinsing it off your face with warm water for additional exfoliation.
